The first week of practice continues on for the West Central Valley football team with day number three of official practices starting today.

Head coach Eric Addy and his Wildcat squad will now be able to graduate from no contact through the first two days to contact above the waist with shoulder pads entering today’s practices. The gradual ease into contact will keep the same format for tomorrow as well with just contact above the waist with form tackling. The Wildcats are now also able to utilize blocking sleds and tackling dummies as well.

That format will continue on through Friday which sets up Saturday as the day coaches and players have been waiting for, the day where full person-to-person contact may begin. From there players and coaches will not be allowed to practice on Sunday but when practices pick up again next Monday, they will continue on with full body person-to-person contact.

Once again, as for today, only contact above the waist with shoulder pads will be allowed.
