After five days of light contact the pads are coming on as Iowa High School football teams are officially allowed full pads and full contact for the first time this season.

For ADM Tiger football, today not only brings day one of full contact, but a glimpse into the focus for next week. The Tigers are just 5 days away from entering into their first competitive action of the season with their August 18th scrimmage against Clear Creek Amana. That game will be held in HA Lynn Stadium in Newton and will be part of a big focus next week for head football coach Mike Whisner.

“We’ll start preparing for our first game next week and we’ll be working on things we can carry into the first game against Dallas Center-Grimes. That’s really what our accomplishment is, try and be at the point where here’s what we want to do and then set up a game plan,” explained coach Whisner.

ADM’s scrimmage on August 18th will involve the Freshmen, JV, and Varsity levels beginning at 4:00 pm in Newton.
