This summer’s drought hasn’t just affected the crop outlook, it’s damaged some roads as well.  County Engineer Josh Sebern has taken notice.

Sebern has seen quite a few pavement blowouts due to the extended heat and humidity. He says the County will be forced to take on periodic pavement patching projects this fall.

Sebern asks anyone who notices any  blowouts on the roads to contact the Secondary Roads Department during normal business hours and the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office during after hours.

There shouldn’t be any major obstructions to county roads in order to repair these blowouts and other heat related infrastructure issues.
