The Perry City Council will convene Monday evening in regular session.
The meeting will include a host of public hearings, including: the Alliant franchise agreement amendment; the 2017 sanitary sewer improvements; the sale of real property; and a general obligation loan agreement. The community is encouraged to attend the public hearings and give their input on the topics. Once the hearings are complete, the Council will consider for approval the sale of real property and general obligation loan agreement.
In new business, the Council will consider several resolutions, including: selling a plow truck to the City of Bayard; setting Trick or Treat Night; approving the management agreement between the City and the Chamber of Commerce; establishing the position of Aquatics/Wellness Coordinator; and amending the manual of personnel policies regarding residency requirements for City employees.
The Council will then have the second reading of the ordinance related to the stop signs at the intersections of North Street and 16th and 18th streets. They may also waive the reading rules in order to hold the third and final reading, so the ordinance is in place before school commences. Additionally, the Council will have the first reading of an ordinance amending franchise fees for electric services.
The meeting is open to the public and will be held at 6 p.m. in the Clarion Room of City Hall.
