The Adel Family Fun Center will be spending the next two months conducting a fundraiser for the Bowlers to Veterans Link (BVL).
From now until Veteran’s Day, November 11th, the bowling alley, bar, and grill will be offering several ways for the community to donate to the cause, including: “Shoes for Freedom,” where they’ll donate $1 from every shoe rental; “Soldier Pins,” which you can purchase and write your name or a veteran’s name on a displayable pin; a BVL mail-in tournament for league bowlers the week of Veteran’s Day; and a free-will donation jar at the front counter.
Their fundraising efforts will culminate with the “Bowl for Freedom” event on Veteran’s Day, starting at 1 p.m. The public is invited to bowl, eat, and drink at the Adel Family Fun Center, and there will be drawings, deals, and more. The goal of the organizers is to raise $5,000 before November 11th, though they feel they could surpass that.
The Bowlers to Veterans Link is a nonprofit charity that raises money to help local veterans. The Adel fundraiser is one of hundreds being held around the country from now until Veteran’s Day, in an effort to raise awareness and funds to support servicemen and women.
