Greene County Farm Bureau recently held their annual member appreciation event.

Several awards and recognitions were made at Clover Hall on the fairgrounds in Jefferson. Alan Neese of Grand Junction was this year’s Greene County Farm Bureau Distinguished Service to Agriculture Award recipient. The award is given to someone that has made a significant contribution to agricultural progress in Greene County. Alan started his own company, Neese Incorporated, in 1991 from the ground up with only two employees. The business has now grown to 36 employees.

Board members Tim and Vickie Robbins were honored after hosting the fourth grade “Ag on the Farm” event for 23 years. The couple has shared their home and agriculture lifestyle with over 3,000 fourth grade students. This was the last year they sponsored the farm tour, because it would have been their late grandson, Grant Robbins, fourth grade year.
