Coming off a record turnout in cars and participation, it seems there’s nothing Scoop the Loop in Stuart can do to top July. But organizer Bob Cook and the rest of the crew are up for the challenge.
The season’s final event is Saturday, September 9th, starting at 5pm . The theme for the event is “College Colors and Friday Night Lights”, which fits well with the annual CyHawk game earlier that day. The Friday Night Lights portion of the evening will honor past high school football coaches from the surrounding area.
The Scoop Committee is trying to appeal more to young families. They introduced the Kids Loop at the last event and are looking to add more kid-friendly activities in September. Cook touches on the importance of having young families attending the events. “We want families. This was started to bring smiles to families. We want families both local and in the area to come.”
The children’s activities include face painting, spin art, Oscar the Balloon Artist, and a kids movie screening at the United Methodist Church at 9pm.
There is no registration fee for vehicles and prizes are available in several categories. Come on out and enjoy the ride down memory lane.
