Conditioning was tested last night for the Lady Panthers as they opened up the season in a five set match on the road against conference foe Madrid.
Unfortunately the Lady Panthers could not come out with a win but they did make it very difficult for the host Lady Tigers. Madrid took the opening statement by the final tally of 25-20 but then Panorama stormed back to take set number two 25-22. It was another set of flip flops for sets three and four as Madrid took the third stanza 25-22 while Panorama took set four 25-18. From there it was down to the do or die set number five and unfortunately for the Lady Panthers, they were downed 15-4 in the final set giving Madrid the win 3-2.
The Lady Panthers will look to regroup for their second contest of the season which just so happens to be Panorama’s home opener on Monday, August 28th. Panorama will be taking on another conference contest as they welcome in Guthrie County rival ACGC for a 7:00 pm contest.
