Town Craft Building

It’s only a matter of time now before the Perry Chamber of Commerce shifts its operations to the Town Craft Building, as the City Council officially approved the move at their recent meeting.

The resolution places an agreement between the City and the Chamber that the latter will oversee and manage the operations at the new co-working facility. City Administrator Sven Peterson says the agreement will be similar to the one the Council struck with Hometown Heritage for the Carnegie Library.

Chamber Board member Emily Leslie says the Board is excited to finally move their offices, after talking about it for months. “We got the green light to move to the Town Craft Building, so we are packed and ready to go. We are just moving boxes from point A to point B right now, and really finalizing the communications side of the move as well. So we are really excited to get that move completed.”

The new Chamber offices will be revealed to the public at the next Chamber Coffee event on Friday, September 8th. Leslie says they will pass out floor layouts and let the public know everything the building has to offer. Currently the facility is housing one individual, and it will soon be the home of a gallery space for DMACC classes over a three-month period.
