A brief pop-up thunderstorm activated Raccoon Valley Radio’s Severe Weather Action Team coverage Sunday evening.
The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for northwestern Greene County at 6:35pm. The main threat, that was radar indicated, was one-inch hail. The warning was suppose to end at 7pm, but the storm dropped below severe levels and the warning for Greene County was allowed to expire at 6:51pm. No damage was reported during the storm.
Four Raccoon Valley Radio staff were in contact with Weather Eye Meteorologists. Raccoon Valley Radio’s Severe Weather Action Team provides live coverage of any severe storms until they weaken below severe levels or move out of our primary coverage area.
