vote

With the school board elections almost here, the Dallas County Auditor reminds voters to confirm their polling locations prior to Election Day.

For people in the Perry School District, the voting location is the McCreary Community Building. For ADM, there are polling locations in each city represented in the District. Voters will go to the Adel Public Library, the DeSoto United Methodist Church, or the Minburn United Methodist Church, depending on which city they live in. For both Perry and ADM, the polling locations will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 12th.

Dallas County is also the control county for West Central Valley, and from 8-11 a.m. on Election Day, voters in the District can only cast votes at the auditor’s office in Adel. From noon to 8 p.m., they can vote in the individual cities. The polling locations are Zion Lutheran Church in Dexter, the Menlo Community Building, the Redfield American Legion, and the First Congregational Church in Stuart. As a side note, voters only vote in the district they live in, regardless if their students open-enroll to a different district.

Additionally, absentee voting can still be done between now and Monday, September 11th. Voters can either mail their absentee ballots in, or vote at the auditor’s office. Anyone with questions can call 515-993-6914.
