IMG_1036Heart of Iowa Habitat for Humanity pulled together to squeeze in one more project before the fall chill kicks in. Crews helped give Guthrie Center resident Audrey Stetzel a new roof with new shingles, and students from Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center High School got a chance to hone their construction skills.

The team of builders started the project last Thursday. The group of about a dozen adults and six students completed the project by noon Saturday. The students are from Kirk Davis’ industrial arts classes.

Heart of Iowa hopes to schedule the 2018 projects by the end of November.  They are still accepting applications for 2018 projects. Contact Associate Director Jeff Lamoureux at ad@heartofiowahabitat.org or visit their website, heartofiowahabitat.org.
