Guthrie County has endured several rainstorms the last few weeks. But none of that compares to the damage left behind by Hurricane Harvey in Houston.

The Mount Vernon United Methodist Church in Stuart is collecting cleaning items for those affected by the extensive flooding left behind by Harvey. Any cash or cleaning supplies should be dropped at the church by this Sunday.

The cleaning supply kits should be filled with liquid laundry detergent, liquid household cleaner, trash bags, gloves, and other essentials. The value of each  supply kit is about $65.
