Greene County Community CenterNow that school has started, Jefferson Parks and Recreation is getting busier with their end of summer programming.

Tot Time has started back up for the school year at the Greene County Community Center. It is for any children, from newborn to five-years-old, to interact with activities, games and toys that are age appropriate. Tot Time is from 9 to 11am, Monday through Friday. It runs from now through next May. It is free for community center members and $0.50 per child for non-members.

JPRD’s flag football program will start next week. Kids in first through third grade will learn about the fundamentals and coordination skills of the sport, along with learning the rules of the game and how to work as a team. Mouth pieces are required. The program will be held Tuesdays from September 5th through the 26th from 5:30 to 6:30pm at Kelso Park. The cost to participate is $20 and includes a t-shirt.

Call or stop by the community center for more information on either program.
