For the second straight week, the Perry football team will be on the road this time heading east to Nevada to take on the Cubs. Both squads enter week two 1-0 after narrow wins last week. Perry edged North Polk 38-31 in double overtime while Nevada held off West Marshall 14-13. Perry coach Ben Coy knows Nevada will provide his team some challenging matchups.
“They have quite a bit of talent at the skill positions. They also have a real solid defensive end who can make a lot of plays. We have to be able to locate him and make sure we know where he is at all times. I think tonight for us the key will be consistent physical play. Not taking any plays off and to continue to play a physical style of football.”
You can listen to tonight’s game on KDLS and raccoonvalleyradio.com beginning at 6:30.
