Today is Labor Day, and in observance of the holiday, several city and county offices will be closed.

Perry City Hall, the post office, the public library, and the water works office will be closed all day. Also the McCreary Community Building will be closed all this week due to work on the electrical systems. Additionally, there will be no garbage or recycling pickup today. Monday routes will be picked up Tuesday, and Tuesday’s pickups will be pushed back to Wednesday. There will be no yard waste pickup on Wednesday, so the next pickup day will be September 13th for areas north of Willis Avenue.

All Dallas County offices in Adel will also be closed today. The Board of Supervisors meeting tomorrow morning will not be affected by the holiday. Finally, there will be no classes today for Perry and ADM schools.
