Harlan Community owned the scoreboard and the stat sheet vs. Greene County in non-district high school football last Friday night at Linduska Field in Jefferson. The Cyclones won the game 41-7 and out gained the Rams 311-155.

Quarterbacks Clint Dennhardt and Brent Riley combined to go 11 of 27 for 111 yards. Dennhardt was six for 16 against mostly a first team Harlan defense for 34 yards and two interceptions. Riley was five of 11 for 77 yards against mostly reserves. He threw a 22 yard scoring strike to Jordan Patterson with 2:36 left on the clock to break up the shut out. Patterson had three catches for 62 yards.

The Rams mustered just 44 yards on the ground in 22 attempts. Colby Kafer led Greene County on the ground with 61 yards on 16 carries.

Next up for the 0-2 Rams is their first road trip of the season. They’ll face 2-0 and highly rated Dallas Center-Grimes at Grimes on Friday night. The Mustangs stopped Pella’s 42-game winning streak last Friday night, 10-7.
