The ACGC Charger football team got their first win in program history last Friday. The volleyball team is already looking for win number six on the season. The Lady Chargers will look to do what the football team couldn’t, beat West Central Valley. The Lady Chargers and Lady Wildcats will square off in Guthrie Center tomorrow night at 7pm.
The Lady Chargers will put their 11 set winning streak on the line in their first home game of the season. The crowd against Panorama in Panora was electric on the ACGC side. Head coach Lyndsey Noe is looking for a packed house. “At Panorama we had a very strong crowd following and we played well, it was loud, it was a lot of fun. I anticipate it even louder against West Central Valley.” The Lady Chargers had a week between games, but Noe emphasizes there will be no breaks for her team and they need to stay focused to get to win number six.
The Lady Wildcats are going the opposite direction. The team limped to an 0-3 start heading into a Labor Day weekend tournament. The Wildcats will be looking to get their season on the right track in Guthrie Center.
