acgcThe ACGC Chargers entered uncharted territory last Friday with their first win in program history. They’ll be looking to go further into the unknown with a victory at 2-0 Missouri Valley. The game looks to be a track meet, as the Chargers lead the district in rush attempts and the Big Red top the district in rushing yards.

The Charges have rushed the ball 101 times and there are no signs of stopping the two-headed monster of Brinks and Kingery anytime soon. Kingery and Brinks are the sixth and seventh leading rushers in the district with 210 and 207 yards respectively. Right in front of them are Missouri Valley running back Nathan Haynes and quarterback Skeeter Bostwick.

Bostwick, a dual threat senior quarterback, threw just three passes in the Big Red’s week two win over Maple Valley-Anthon Oto. However, Missouri Valley didn’t really need Bostwick to throw the ball with 365 yards on the ground. The Big Red average 345 yards per game and are just a full first down on the ground from 700 yards rushing. While they keep it on the ground, they also allow the opposition an average of 243 yards rushing per game.

In a seemingly even matchup, Bryce Littler might be the difference maker. Littler surprisingly finds himself second best in the district in yards and touchdowns after the first two weeks of play. The Chargers may have to use Littler in critical situations to break the game open.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7pm in Missouri Valley.
