A potent rushing attack has helped the Panorama Panthers football team (2-0) get off to a fast start this fall. The Panthers, Radio Iowa’s No. 2 ranked team in Class 1A, enters tonight’s game the Class 1A District 7 rushing leaders with 674 yards. Panorama currently leads all of Class 1A with 10 rushing touchdowns scored. The Panthers recorded 339 yards on the ground in last week’s 52-14 victory over the Woodward Academy Knights (1-1). Junior Brody Rickheim recorded a team-best 135 yards rushing and one score.

Panorama welcomes the Madrid Tigers (0-2) to Panora for tonight’s district opener. The Panthers committed five turnovers in last year’s 35-6 loss. The Tigers opened this season with back-to-back non-district losses including 21-20 setback last week at Earlham. Sophomore Cody Fisher led the Tigers’ ground game with 157 yards and one touchdown. Class 1A District 7 action between Panorama and Madrid kickoffs at 7 p.m. from Panorama High School.
