Points have been hard to come by for the Adel-Desoto-Minburn (A.D.M) Tigers football team (0-2) so far this fall. Eight quarters of play has resulted in A.D.M being outscored 79-7 in losses to Dallas Center-Grimes (2-0) and Ballard (1-1). The Tigers only touchdown came in the second quarter of last week’s 43-7 setback to Ballard; a 69-yard touchdown connection between quarterback Matthew West and receiver Gavin O’Steen.
The Tigers will begin their Class 3A District 7 schedule tonight in Madison County against the Winterset Huskies (1-1). A.D.M outlasted Winterset in last year’s meeting, 17-13. The Huskies suffered their first loss of the season last week versus the Norwalk Warriors, 29-12. Look for Winterset junior Casey Kleemeier to make impacts on both sides of the ball. Kleemeier’s 284 passing yard and three total touchdowns lead the Huskies, and his two interceptions tied for the team lead with Brady Porter.
