A Boone County man will face a felony charge for an assault incident in Jefferson.
Jefferson Police Chief Mark Clouse says just after midnight on Sunday, September 3rd, officers responded to a call of a reported assault at the Greene County Medical Center emergency room. The male victim told officers an assault took place earlier at his apartment in the 300 block of North Wilson Avenue. Officers conducted interviews with the victim’s girlfriend and another couple who witnessed the incident. Clouse notes the witness statements were congruent with the injuries to the victim.
Eighteen-year-old James Lee Hoyle of Beaver is charged with a Class D Felony for assault causing bodily injury. Once Hoyle is apprehended, he will be booked into the Greene County jail.
