stuart cityThe Stuart City Council will meet in regular session tonight.

The Council will continue its discussion on the hiring of a new billing clerk/economic developer. The Council members are split on whether to hire two separate positions or to combine the job duties of the two positions into one. The Council will also review the proposed schedule of the Wambold Second Addition, which is set to be complete September of 2018.

Andy Forcht of Central Iowa Collision will present the progress on his business relocation and Code Enforcement Officer Ed Leedom will give a monthly report on City code infractions.

The Council will then act on two resolutions. The first addresses the Urban Renewal Plan Amendment. The second seeks to set a date for a public hearing on proposals to enter into a General Obligation Annual Appropriation Loan Agreement.

Other topics of discussion include: wastewater treatment, employee health insurance, tractor trailer parking, and fireworks permits.

The meeting begins at 6:30pm in the Council Chambers at Stuart City Hall.
