There’s only a couple days left to register for the annual Greene County Chamber and Tourism Golf Outing.

Tourism and Events Coordinator Michael Reese says the deadline to register a four-person team, be a hole sponsor or just enjoy the meal following the outing is tomorrow. It will be held at the Jefferson Community Golf Course this Friday. Check-ins will be at 9:30am, followed by a shotgun start for golf at 10. Reese tells Raccoon Valley Radio what he’s been seeing with the response for teams and hole sponsors during the registration process so far.

“What’s kind of exciting is that I think people are starting to see a difference in the Chamber, that we have some momentum that we’re generating. It’ll be interesting to see how many teams that we’ll have that are going to come out and we’re excited to greet everyone and just have a fun, great day.”

He points out one of the Chamber’s main goals by having a golf outing.

“It’s just supposed to be a relaxing day and a way for the Chamber to thank everyone for being a part of the community. Also (the outing is a way) to introduce myself and then to see what else the Chamber can do for our members and for our local businesses.”
