County Road F31 west of Minburn will be closed to more than just through traffic in the coming weeks.
Starting Monday, the Dallas County Secondary Roads Department will begin construction on the new bridge approaches at the bridge over the Raccoon River. As a result, the bridge will need to be closed to all traffic. Residents west of the bridge, including those on Lexington Lane, will need to exit the project to the west. Residents east of the bridge will need to use Lexington Road or F31 through Minburn. The bridge approach construction is expected to take a week and a half, depending on weather.
This closure is in addition to the road being closed for the F31 paving project that began at the end of July. Through traffic should continue to use the marked detours on County Road P58, and highways 44 and 169. The paving project is expected to take about two more months to be completed. Anyone with questions about the project can contact the roads department at 515-993-4289.
