Thursday’s Leon Fox Invitational featured multiple top 10 performances for the Adel-Desoto-Minburn (ADM) Tigers cross country teams. The varsity girls and boys teams made the trip to Perry’s Golf and Country Club for the event. Junior Sadie Jurgens was 32 seconds better than the varsity girls field, taking first place honors with a time of 20:22. Freshman Hannah Welch’s time of 21:38 was the fourth fastest time. Other ADM top finishers included Ashlie Hauf 36th (24:05), Lizzy Lohman 38th (24:14), and Elle Hook 39th (24:17). ADM finished fourth in the team standings with 118 points.
Three ADM runners placed in the top five of the varsity boys race. Freshman Nate Mueller (17:14), freshman Ethan Juergens (17:26), and senior Rylan Heffernan (17:47) finished in third, fourth, and fifth place respectively all with sub-18 minute times. Other top finishers on the boy’s side include junior Gustavs Klavis 31st (19:08) and sophomore Braeden Hegarty 33rd (19:14).
The ADM cross country teams resume their season Thursday at the Atlantic Golf and Country Club.
