West Central Valley hosted the Wildcat Invitational Thursday at the Menlo 5×80 Golf Course. Once again both Wildcat teams finished near the bottom of the team standings.
For the boys, Louden Foster continued his leading performances for the Wildcats, finishing in 14th individually with a time just over 18 minutes. Weston Pote also finished in the top 50, placing 38th with a time of 19 minutes and 31 seconds. As a team the Wildcats finished in ninth place out of ten teams, just 8 points behind seventh pace Woodward-Granger.
Once again, the girls fared a little better than the boys. Aliyah Dickson and Milayla Jaeger recorded another set of top 20 finishes, finishing 13th and 14th respectively with times around 23 minutes. Kari Gomez also finished in the top 30, placing 28th with a time of 24 minutes and 24 seconds. The Lady Wildcats finished fifth out of seven in the team standings, but were only 17 points behind third place Missouri Valley.
Overall, eleven schools participated in the invitational. The Wildcats will participate in the Nodaway Valley Invitational on Tuesday.
