The Dallas County Board of Supervisors will convene Tuesday morning in regular session.
The agenda is filled with several items relating to the new law enforcement center, but one of particular note is a public hearing at 9:45 a.m. for the consideration of bid proposals for the center’s site preparation package. The Board will review bids for contract documents, plans, and specifications for the facility’s ground work. They will also continue discussion on the Ortonville lagoon and their sewer options for the law enforcement center, as well as the bond issuance options.
The Board will also consider a bridge inspection consultant contract, a tractor purchase, and a consultant contract for weather forecasting and meteorological information interpretation, all for the secondary roads department. Additionally, they will hold a 9:30 public hearing relating to the final plat for Tanglewoods Acres. Other items on the agenda include: a request for withdrawal from an agricultural area; setting a date for the first reading of an amendment to the urban renewal plan; professional services contracts with Ahlers and Cooney for bond counsel, and with Piper Jaffrey for financial advising; consideration of bid proposals for the courthouse landscape plan and the building’s roof; and an inquiry into purchasing county-owned property.
Finally, the Board will hold an informational workshop with the public health department. The meeting will conclude with another exempt session for the purpose of conducting a negotiations strategy meeting. The regular meeting is open to the public and will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the Board of Supervisors meeting room in Adel.
