The West Central Valley School District will continue its search for the next superintendent with a special session on Wednesday. The District needs to find a replacement for Dr. David Arnold, who will retire after this school year.

The District will bring in two search firms to present their strategies to the Board in 30 minutes or less. Johnston based G. Tryon and Associates will present first. Dr. Gaylord Tryon will be the main presenter and has over 45 years experience in K-12 education. Ankeny’s Grundmeyer Leader Search will follow. Grundmeyer is currently in the process of helping West Des Moines Valley High School select its new principal, as well as Treynor Community School’s new superintendent.

Following the presentations, the Board will make a final decision between the two search teams. The meeting begins at 7 pm in the Dexter Elementary Library.
