Grant applications for Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation are now available for the 2018 granting cycle.

The GGCGC Board encourages local projects that will have an impact on the county for years to come. President Norm Fandel reminds applicants that they will consider projects that are $35,000 and above.

“If you put in an application last year and you did not receive funds, you’re certainly welcomed to re-submit. If you have a new project and just because you were awarded a grant last year does not mean you can’t qualify for a grant this year.”

GGCGC is the nonprofit gaming license holder for Wild Rose Casino. As per the agreement, GGCGC receives five-percent of the adjusted gross gaming revenues. Of that five-percent, 4.1-percent goes to Greene County projects, while 0.9-percent is shared by the community foundations of the six contiguous counties to Greene County. Fandel describes how he thinks the last two years have gone, giving away over $2.3 million to projects.

“It’s been great. In fact our group just did a tour of some of our applications that have completed their projects. It’s great to see how the funds are being used, what they’re used for and the pride that the communities are taking because their projects are completed.”

Applications are available by clicking the link below. Applications must be postmarked by February 15, 2018.
