The quest for a Raccoon River Conference title takes the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers volleyball team (13-7 overall; 5-0 RRC) to Boone County tonight. The Tigers will square off against the Toreadors (11-14 overall; 2-1 RRC) in a league match at Boone High School. ADM stands undefeated in five previous conference contests.
ADM’s last victory came last Thursday in Carlisle, besting the Wildcats in straight sets (25-15, 25-19, 25-20). Josi Lonneman topped the Tigers with 10 kills, while Delaney Bertman dished out 20 assists. Jordan Hook registered a team-best 20 digs defensively.
Boone’s last conference match was last Tuesday in Ballard, falling to the Bombers in five sets (28-26, 17-25, 24-26, 25-18, 13-15). Senior Claire Sandvig smashed 27 kills, Jessica Lewis served up 47 assists, and Kinsie Zinnel had 32 digs defensively. ADM bested Boone last year in Adel, winning in four sets (21-25, 25-12, 25-16, 25-19).
Tonight’s Raccoon River Conference varsity match between ADM and Boone serves at 7 p.m. at Boone High School.
