The City of Guthrie Center is currently looking for an interested individual to fill a vacancy on the City’s Park and Recreation Board. The vacancy was opened last month after a member decided to focus more attention on family matters.

The Board was established to advise the City Council on issues related to recreational activities in Guthrie Center including the aquatic center, town parks, and youth baseball and softball programs. The Board is also the main planning body for current and future recreation activities in Guthrie Center. Interested applicants do not have to be residents of Guthrie Center, and must be at least 18-years-old.

Interested applicants can contact City Hall or one of the current Board members. The current Board members are: Linda Grove, Blake Michelsen, Chris Bunde, and Alan Mahaffey.
