The Forest Park Museum and Arboretum is adding a little more flavor to their exhibits with recent enhancements.

Museum Curator Pete Malmberg explains, they’re not full exhibits, but enhancements to existing exhibits. For example, right now they have a little red wagon set up that can be used to take children around the creek and wildlife areas. They also added things like a scavenger hunt, numerous hands-on items, and interactive old-time piggy banks. The exhibit enhancements will continue growing in number, and will be rolled out in stages.

Another enhancement to be rolled out soon at the museum involves adding audio to the visual displays. Malmberg says, “This winter, we are adding audio enhancements to the exhibits. We’ve only got one audio enhancement right now, which is the blacksmith sound. Now we’re going to have seven different audios describing different exhibits. Professionally narrated, they’ll be really slick. They’ll be nice additions to the exhibits.”
