In conjunction with the Iowa Healthiest State Initiative, representatives from the Stuart Chamber of Commerce will participate in a brief walk before their general meeting. The walk begins Wednesday at noon outside of Ruby’s Pub and Grill. The walk will take about 15 minutes with the general meeting starting at the conclusion of the walk. The walk is sponsored by Adair County Health System and the Guthrie County Hospital and Clinics.

Iowans across the state will partake in several events to encourage walking and healthy living. The Guthrie County Hospital Fitness Center and the Panorama School District will also hold walks on Wednesday. The initiative set a goal of creating one walking event in each of Iowa’s 99 counties, which has been accomplished.
