The Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center High School marching band took second place at Carroll Band Day for the second consecutive year. The Charger marching band finished just behind Roland-Story in Class 2A. The junior high band also finished in second place in Class 2A. Storm Lake won the overall competition.

In the individual competitions, Margaret Maas was awarded Best Overall Drum Major for the second year in a row. Maas was selected out of a field including 16 bands across Class 1A, 2A, and 3A. The festival also featured AC/GC’s drumline in an afternoon performance. It’s a unique honor as it is the first time that a school has performed with only their drumline.
