lions clubOn Monday the Stuart Lions Club hosted a meet and greet at Mount Vernon United Methodist Church. About a dozen attendees enjoyed lasagna, garlic bread, and information about Lions Club activities. At the event, the Club also celebrated their ten-year anniversary. A dozen members were awarded ten and fifteen year certificates and pins.

After the presentation, Panora Mayor and District Trustee Patrick Parker presented on this year’s Lions Clubs of Iowa theme, “Power of We.” The theme emphasizes the importance of unity and the ability to complete more community service with more members. Parker presented on Leader Dogs for the Blind and other ways Iowa Lions serve the blind and deaf communities.
