The West Central Valley cross country teams hit some bumps in the road this season, but they took advantage of the final regular season tournament to make a slight trend upward. The Lady Wildcats finished in fifth place and the boys finished in eighth place at the Nodaway Valley Invitational on Monday.
On the girls side, Aliyah Dickson had the best finish, coming in 12th place with a time of 25 minutes and 36 seconds. Milayla Jaeger dipped a little on her season performances, finishing just inside the top 25 in 26 minutes and 15 seconds. Three more Lady Wildcats finished in the top 50.
On the boys side, Louden Foster continues to lead the way. Foster finished in 19th place with a time of 20 minutes and 11 seconds. Alex Kalbach and Cael Carl also finished just inside the top 50.
The Wildcat squads will head to Panora Thursday for the West Central Activities Conference meet at the Panorama Par 3 Golf Course. The State meet is Saturday October 28th in Fort Dodge.
