Panorama-Panthers-Picture112The Panorama School District will install their new Board on Tuesday. The meeting will begin with recognition of the new Board and then proceed to the regular meeting. The Board will then elect officers.

After the election of new officers, various departments and administrators will give updates to the Board. In particular, Panorama Elementary Principal Liz Ratcliff will report on the first couple months of this school year. The elementary is currently undergoing some testing and Ratcliff is pleased with the students’ progress. “Currently we are taking our state reading assessments and the scores are coming in. Students are doing great. It’s been a great start to the year, a lot of positive things happening. That really goes to our students and staff and our community.”

The Board will consider for approval an out of state trip request and appoint a representative to the Guthrie County Conference Board. Then the Board will review modified allowable growth for the 2017 Fiscal Special Education Deficit. The meeting will conclude with an Iowa Association of School Boards policy review.

The meeting begins at 6:30 pm in the District Board Room.
