ADM Volleyball General

It was a successful weekend on the hardwood for the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers volleyball team (19-8 overall; 6-0 RRC). ADM participated in a round robin tournament Saturday at Pella High School, competing against squads from Boone, Greene County, Knoxville, Mediapolis, and Pella. The Tigers left Pella with five wins and the invitational championship.

Only one of ADM’s matches went three sets. The Tigers won in two games versus Boone (21-17, 21-13), Knoxville (21-18, 21-14), Greene County (21-11, 21-11) and Mediapolis (21-14, 21-16). ADM bested Pella in three games (21-13, 16-21, 15-13). Sami Schepers complied a team-best 44 kills total while Ellie Mueller was 44-48 serving. Saturday marked the second tournament championship this fall for ADM, winning their invitational on August 31. The Tigers record sits at 19-8 overall.

ADM concludes regular season match play this week with a pair of road trips. The Tigers hit the road Tuesday for a Raccoon River Conference match versus Bondurant-Farrar (16-9); ADM wins the outright league championship with a victory over the Bluejays. The Tigers close the regular season Saturday at a tournament hosted by Knoxville.
