Today is Columbus Day and a reminder that several offices and businesses will be closed in Jefferson.

Jefferson City Hall, Jefferson Post Office and the Jefferson Public Library are all closed. Library staff reminds everyone that nothing is due to the library when it is closed for a holiday.

Jefferson City staff also reminds residents that due to today’s holiday, garbage routes will be delayed by one day. Garbage routes will go back to normal schedules the following week. Residents are reminded to have garbage out at the curbside by 6am to ensure pick up.
