panoraThe Panora City Council will meet in regular session tonight.

The Council will begin the meeting by finalizing the sale of the City’s 2000 Ford F250 Pickup Truck for $3200. The Council will then move to a discussion on the City’s urban renewal plan. After a public hearing on the matter, the Council will look to approve the Urban Renewal Plan Amendment for the Central Panora Urban Renewal Area.

The Council will continue with a public hearing on an agricultural development agreement with Heartland Co-op out of West Des Moines. After the hearing, the Council will then look to approve the agreement, authorize annual appropriation tax increment payments, and pledge certain tax increment revenues for the payment of the agreement. The Council will then move to discussion and possible action on a sidewalk proposal for Michael Mills Park from Y.T. Construction.

The Council will conclude with a continuation of last meeting’s discussion on handbook changes. The council will look to amend the process of adding items to the agenda and authorize a change in the employee handbook relating to police scheduling. The Council will finish with a discussion regarding the City Attorney, council handbook, and employee handbook.

The meeting begins at 6:30 pm at Panora City Hall.
