IMG_1465West Central Valley High School kicked off homecoming week with a district-wide pep rally and Coronation ceremony Sunday night.

The WCV Athletic Boosters got the evening off to a good start selling hamburger and hot dog meals and opening up the bleachers for a pre-rally social. The rally began with the annual senior jersey auction, which raised over $1,000 for the booster club. Then the cheerleaders and band performed a few selections, including the school fight song. The rally also included season recaps from the cross country, volleyball, and football coaches. The Coronation ceremony ended the evening. From ten talented and eclectic candidates, the Wildcat student body chose Brock Wolfe and Harley Wells as this year’s king and queen.

West Central Valley Schools Superintendent Dr. David Arnold has noticed the energy level increase within the student body in preparation for this week. “I think they are energized and definitely excited. I think the recent win is going to carry over. Hopefully the weather will hold out for us.”

The week will continue with the Lip Sync Battle on Tuesday at 6 pm.
