ADM

The high school football season has reached the final two weeks for the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers (1-6 overall; Class 3A District 7). Tonight marks the last home game of the season for ADM as the Creston Panthers invade Adel for a Class 3A District 7 matchup at Tiger Stadium. The Panthers topped the Tigers last season in Creston, 42-7.

ADM returns to the gridiron after last week’s 26-0 loss versus Atlantic in the rain-soaked Trojan Bowl. The Tigers offense registered 89 yards total in the setback. ADM’s still searching for their first on-field win of the season. Tiger head football coach Mike Whisner says he’s happy to be back at Tiger Stadium this week. “We’ve played well at home the last two games, we’ve had good practices this week, and we’re excited to get to this game.”

Creston is in the midst of a down season after the loss of 19 seniors from last year’s 8-2 playoff team. The Panthers have lost five straight since a 48-0 victory over Clarinda in week two. Quarterback Kylan Smallwood is a dual threat, accounting for 1,014 yards of total offense (592 passing) and 12 touchdowns (nine passing).
