The final tune-up before next week’s postseason tournament will take the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers volleyball team (19-9 overall) to Marion County tomorrow. The Tigers will participate in the Knoxville volleyball tournament featuring squads from Albia, Iowa Falls-Alden, Pella Christian, Perry, Saydel, and Union. ADM’s set to face Albia, Pella Christian, and Perry in pool play competition.
ADM’s Raccoon River Conference season ended Tuesday on the road versus the Bondurant-Farrar Bluejays (18-10 overall). The Tigers saw their 13 match conference winning streak end with a three-game loss (21-25, 18-25, 22-25). Sami Schepers recorded seven kills to lead the ADM offense. Delaney Bertman tossed out 14 assists, while Jordan Hook registered 10 digs. Bondurant-Farrar earned a share of the conference championship with ADM after closing their season with a four-set victory over the Boone Toreadors (16-20 overall) last night (16-25, 25-16, 26-24, 25-16). Boone is ADM’s opponent in Wednesday’s Class 4A Region 2 tournament opener.
First matches of the Knoxville volleyball tournament serve at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow at Knoxville High School.
