The Panorama High School football team still has a game on the schedule, but the City of Panora is getting ready for basketball. The Parks and Recreation Department opened registration for the 80/35 Youth Basketball League last Friday.

The league is for boys and girls in grades 3-6 and starts the first Saturday in January. The season lasts five weeks with all games to be played on Saturdays. Practices begin in December and are set at the coach’s discretion. Uniforms will be provided and returned to the parks and rec department at the end of the season and each player will receive a t-shirt. The league values good sportsmanship and will provide clinics for those who wish to volunteer as coaches or referees.
