The Iowa Association of Track Coaches has given the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers boys cross country team a spot in their Class 3A rankings this week. The newest poll shows the Tigers as the 13th best team in the state; The IATC lists the top 15 teams in each classification throughout the season. The organization also ranked freshman Nate Mueller as Class 3A’s No. 12 ranked individual runner.

Mueller is this year’s Raccoon River Conference boys champion, clocking a personal-best time of 16:21 at Winterset’s Lakeview Country Club last Thursday. He was one of four ADM boys to make the all-conference squad by finishing in the top 17 in the varsity race. The other ADM boys’ all-conference runners include freshman Ethan Jurgens fifth (17:15),senior Rylan Heffernan 14th (17:44), and sophomore Braeden Hegarty 16th (18:01). ADM placed third in the Raccoon River Conference boys team standings with 60 points. Carlisle won the league championship with 33 points.

The ADM Tigers boys and girls cross country teams head to Atlantic tomorrow for the Class 3A state qualifying meet at the Atlantic Golf and Country Club. The top 15 individuals and the three lowest scoring teams all qualify for the Class 3A state cross country meet Saturday, October 28 at Fort Dodge’s Lakeside Golf Course.
