Greene County Young Musicians Making a Splash in the Music World

Younger Greene County student musician continue to impress with their skills.

Sadie Reedy was recently selected to perform at the Iowa Choral Director’s Association OPUS Honor Choir Thursday, November 16th. The eighth grader twice auditioned for the honor choir and on her third try, she was chosen. The performance will take place at Stephens Auditorium on Iowa State University campus.

Three middle school band students will have the opportunity to perform in the South Central Iowa Band Master’s Association Honor Band. Natalie Heupel qualified on bass clarinet, Ashlynn Hinners on clarinet and Brianna Blasnitz made it on flute. The trio will perform with other students from the region at Waukee High School on November 7th.
