Miss Rodeo Iowa 2018, Jenna Kool from Adel

An Adel resident was recently given the honor of being named Miss Rodeo Iowa 2018.

Jenna Kool competed in a three-day pageant in Fort Madison, emerging victorious. The contestants were tested through interviews, impromptu speaking, horsemanship, and a written test, while also being judged on their appearance and personality. Kool, who is a recent graduate of Oklahoma State University, will take over the responsibilities of Miss Rodeo Iowa on January 1, 2018. She will travel around the state and country promoting professional rodeo, animal welfare, and agriculture.

Her first big event of the year will be a coronation celebration and fundraiser held on January 6, 2018 at Country Lane Lodge in Adel. The event is open to the public and tickets can be purchased at the door, with all proceeds going towards paying for Kool’s travels over the year. Her journey will culminate in December of 2018 when she will compete in the Miss Rodeo America Pageant in Las Vegas. In the history of the Miss Rodeo Iowa competition, Kool is the first representative from Dallas County.
