It’s a busy time of the year for the Perry High School vocal music department, and that continues this Thursday in Ballard.

The high school’s select choir will be participating in the annual Raccoon River Conference Vocal Festival. Vocal Music Director Jenn Nelson describes what the day will look like for the students attending. “So all the schools in our conference are sending singers. We’re going to start the day at about 9:30 (am), we have a guest director coming and five pieces of music that we’re going to be working on throughout the day. And then we’ll put on a concert in the Ballard auditorium at 6:30 (pm).”

Admission for the concert is $5 for both students and adults, and family members and those in the community are encouraged to attend.
