Kids in Perry between 6th and 12th grade are invited to a special after hours event at the Perry Public Library this Friday.

Deputy Library Director Misty VonBehren, who is in charge of the young adult reading programs, says she decided to hold the event due to popular demand. “Well the teens this year said, ‘We have so much fun at these, we want you to do them more than just in the summer!’ So I thought Halloween weekend would be a perfect time to do it. And it’s just a great time for the teens to come in and have a nice, safe environment where they can just be themselves!”

The “Teen After Hours” event will run from 6-10 p.m. Friday, and there is no cost or registration required. Activities will include video games, movies, nerf wars, an escape room, and more. There will also be food and drinks provided. For more information, contact VonBehren at 515-465-3569.
